An independent report on “The Value of Higher Education to Wisconsin’s Economy” will be discussed by the president of the University of Wisconsin System and the head of the Wisconsin Technology Council at the Oct. 19 meeting of the Tech Council’s Innovation Network in Appleton.

UW System President Ray Cross will be joined by Tech Council President Tom Still for a discussion about how Wisconsin can better capitalize on higher education’s economic benefits, which range from supplying talent to carrying out research that can create intellectual property, commercial products and companies.

This month’s luncheon will be held at the Fox Valley Technical College Main Campus building, 1825 N. Bluemound Drive, Room A170AB, Appleton (entrance 16). Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon and the presentation at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for WIN members and students, $20 for general admission and included with WIN corporate memberships.
