The 14th annual Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference attracted 556 people from across the state and beyond June 7-8 in Madison, with a conference theme of “Why Wisconsin” highlighting the state’s attributes as a place to launch, grow and succeed as a business. Highlights include remarks by software leader Pat Quirk; a question-and-answer session with Erik Iverson, the incoming managing director of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation; remarks by Mark Gehring, winner of the 2016 Ken Hendricks Memorial “Seize the Day” Award; a presentation by Evan Absher of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation; and Gov.
