JSOnline: Appleton entrepreneur uses Kickstarter to build customer base

When Appleton entrepreneur Brian Davis raised more than $37,000 on the online funding website Kickstarter earlier this month, it wasn’t the money that got him excited.

It was the customers — 1,154 of them — who wanted to buy his Weatherneck quick-release bandanna for outdoor enthusiasts.
