Lorrie Heinemann, former top financial regulator for Wisconsin, has been hired as the next president of the Madison Development Corp., the quasi-public economic development organization said Tuesday.

Heinemann will join MDC in January, following the retirement of Frank Staniszewski, who has been the organization’s president since 1985.

“Lorrie is an important hire for us because of her ability to raise the visibility of the MDC and bring in more strategic investors to help us grow our loan, venture capital and housing portfolios, said Mary Strickland, past chair of MDC’s board. Read the full story here.
