Tixora LLC, a Milwaukee start-up company that specializes in e-tickets, has landed a contract with the Milwaukee County Transit System to provide digital tickets for Summerfest Freeway Flyers.
The new service, called Pre>Fare, allows adult riders of the Summerfest buses from park-and-ride lots to buy tickets online for $5.50, which is $1 cheaper than the cash fare. They receive a code in their e-mail and can print it out or show it from their phone to board the bus.
“This is a newer, easier way to get on the bus a little quicker,” said Aaron Redlich, Tixora’s co-founder and chief executive officer. Read the full Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story here.
