The Doyenne Group, a Madison-based networking and mentoring group, is seeking women entrepreneurs from across Wisconsin to apply to participate in its 5x5x5 pitch event in August.

At the event, five women-led ventures will give five-minute pitches. One of them will be selected to receive a $5,000 seed grant.

The 5x5x5 event is also being organized by 1 Million Cups Madison, which runs weekly events that showcase entrepreneurs. It will be part of Forward Fest 2016, an eight-day technology and entrepreneurship festival that begins Aug.18. The festival started in 2010 and has in past years attracted as many as 2,000 attendees. Read the full Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story here.
