Sector67 — the Madison maker space once considered a key anchor of the planned StartingBlock Madison entrepreneurial hub — will have a new home, about a mile and a half east of StartingBlock.

Sector67 will move to 56 Corry St., less than a mile northeast of the former pole barn it has been leasing at 2100 Winnebago St. since it opened in October 2010.

“It’s right down the street from us,” said Chris Meyer, founder of the nonprofit shared workshop.

The Corry Street building is in a largely residential area near Union Corners, which is at East Washington Avenue and Milwaukee Street. The metal building is owned by developer Joe Krupp and is occupied by Krupp General Contractors.

Meyer said it will take at least $600,000 to buy the building and update it.
