Two accelerator programs for very young companies are nudging their latest participants out of the nest.

Gener8tor’s gBETA summer session wrapped up its six-week program Thursday night in Milwaukee. Of the 10 startups making their final presentations, five are from Madison:

EWPanel: Has patented power boards that create enough electricity to charge such electronics as LED lights and temperature sensors.

Gregor Diagnostics: Developing a new type of screening test for prostate cancer in very early stages.

Pathogenomica: Detects microorganisms in water as a way to prevent disease outbreaks. Read the full story here.
