The Cologuard cancer screening test developed by Exact Sciences Corp. of Madison has won the highly regarded Prix Galien USA award for medical technology, Exact Sciences said Friday.
The Galien Foundation of New York City named Cologuard product the winner at the Prix Galien USA Awards Ceremony at the American Museum of Natural History in New York Thursday. The Exact Sciences product beat out several products from major medical technology manufacturers that were finalists, including three developed by Boston Scientific Corp. of Marlborough, Mass., and three that Johnson & Johnson of New Brunswick, N.J., co-developed with other companies.
