The company has been eyeing a more aggressive timeline for its expansion since raising $4 million from the Appleton health system ThedaCare and $7 million from a health system in Illinois.

It opened a clinic in the Twin Cities and will open three more there by the end of the year, when it expects to have 18 clinics total in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.

“We’re excited to be opening our doors in the Twin Cities,” CEO Rick Anderson said. “We anticipate that the community will welcome our approach to value-driven care. The rise of high deductible health plans has fueled consumers who understand their options and demand a higher level of service from their providers.”
