Plans to create a second Global Water Center in the Walker’s Point neighborhood have been dropped after the proposed development failed to draw enough prospective tenants.

The Water Council board voted Friday to not pursue the project, said Dean Amhaus, council president and chief executive officer.

“We had hoped to get more leased space than we had at this point,” Amhaus said.

The council in 2015 disclosed plans to convert the five-story warehouse, at 326-332 W. Florida St., into a 46,000-square-foot office building. Read the full story here.
