Milwaukee Startup Week returns for its second year next week and promises to be jam-packed with a bounty of panel discussions, networking events, workshops and other opportunities for those interested in southeastern Wisconsin’s startup ecosystem.

The weeklong affair, which launches Nov. 6 and runs through Nov. 12, will feature a roster of more than 50 activities for budding startup founders, established entrepreneurs and interested investors. The event debuted last year to showcase and build momentum in Milwaukee’s technology community, as well as connect local startups with the resources they need to grow.

With dozens of activities on tap, the scope of Milwaukee Startup Week has essentially doubled compared with last year. The event also has garnered considerable interest from corporate partners like Sendik’s and Husch Blackwell, with Northwestern Mutual signing on as the event’s presenting sponsor.

The inaugural Milwaukee Startup Week in 2016 amassed the participation of more than 2,700 people and event organizers hope to attract more participants this year. So here’s a guide for this year’s event, highlighting a few of the week’s interesting and noteworthy activities:

  • Road to Global Entrepreneurship Summit, Monday, Nov. 6: Mark Green, administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, is the main speaker for this event, which will be held at the Ward 4 Pritzlaff building at 8 a.m. Women’s leadership in entrepreneurship and health technology will be among the topics discussed.
