The Wisconsin Technology Council has narrowed down the running for the 14th annual Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest to 26 entries.
“These finalists are emblematic of Wisconsin’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Toni Sikes, Wisconsin Technology Council chairwoman. “Few contests can blend together industries as varied as life sciences, composting, speech therapy and drones.”
The diverse contest participants have survived two rounds of competitive judging so far, with nearly 150 companies eliminated already. Finalists will now have to submit 15- to 20-page business plans, which will be seen by a group of over 85 judges.
Twelve from this group will emerge in May as the “Diligent Dozen,” and will present at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference on June 6 in Madison. Winners will be announced June 8 at the BPC Awards Luncheon.
