Digital Measures LLC has experienced 20 percent growth in each of the past four years, and new software upgrades and expansion into other industries is prompting more growth for the Milwaukee-based tech company.

In July of 2017, Digital Measures launched its Workflow module, a new component for its Activity Insight software that helps universities completely digitize their annual performance evaluations and tenure processes.

By the end of 2018, the module will account for five percent of the company’s business, said founder and CEO Matt Bartel, who was recently honored as one of the Business Journal’s 40 under 40 winners for 2018. In five years, Workflow is projected to account for 25 percent of the company’s business, if comparing with Digital Measures’ current size. Digital Measures will add other products in the coming years, Bartel said.

Through Activity Insight, faculty members were already able to keep track of their research and accomplishments such as grants or journal articles that were published. Faculty and university leaders would use that collected information to run reports for annual performance evaluations or accreditation reviews. With Workflow, faculty and university boards can eliminate the task of running reports and do everything in one, seamless system.
