BluDiagnostics Inc., a Madison health technology startup and maker of a device that helps women struggling with infertility, has raised $3.4 million in debt funding from two investors, according to a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company’s Fertility Finder device analyzes salivary hormones and displays the information on an app, which can also be transmitted to a woman’s physician.
BluDiagnostics previously raised $1.15 million in an amended round of debt funding in 2016, according to SEC documents.
BluDiagnostics CEO Katie Brenner co-founded the company in 2015 while completing her postdoctoral fellowship in biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The startup won the top prize in the Governor’s Business Plan Contest at the annual Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference in 2015. It also won the life sciences category that year.
