TWC staffers worked on 189 projects, activities and events in 2017, focusing on economic development opportunities for members. They connected 31 groups to the group’s business ecosystem for specific opportunities, and awarded $486,000 in grants to five companies for water tech pilot projects in the state.
But despite growing its membership, TWC revenue fell from over $2.93 million in 2016 to $2.84 million in 2017.
The report also provides an update on stats for the group’s BREW startup accelerator, showing 34 startups have been trained since it began in 2013. Of these, 12 startups have gotten a product or service out to the market.
Over $8 million in capital has been raised by participants, and $13.7 million in additional funding has come from grants and other sources.
