The event, hosted by the Wisconsin Technology Council, is open to people and groups who are a part of the state’s tech and innovation scene, as well as anyone who enjoys the best of summer in Wisconsin. Walk-ins are welcome and will be accommodated until sold out. The cost to attend is $25 for WIN members, $35 for general admission and $10 for children 10 and under. The Wisconsin Brewing Co. is located at 1079 American Way, Verona. All food and beverages are included in your admission! “Brew, Bites & Bytes” will be held at the brewery’s outdoor Backyard Bar and will offer carnival games and a silent auction, with Wisconsin YES! designated as one of the beneficiaries. Sector67, a non-profit collaborative space in Madison, will sell bracelets printed on-site using a special 3-D printer; all proceeds from bracelet sales will also benefit Wisconsin YES! If there is inclement weather all festivities will be moved inside. The event will feature classic rock music by the Grooving Needles, a local band made up of area “techies”. Locally sourced foods will be offered by Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Co., Slide and Curd Girl and a full selection of Wisconsin Brewing Co. beverages will be on tap. The Tech Council is the independent, non-profit science and technology adviser to the governor and Legislature, with events, publications and outreach that contribute to Wisconsin’s tech-based economy.
