The meeting will take place at a new location, the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel, 375 S. Moorland Rd., Brookfield. The hotel is located a half-mile north of the I-94 interchange with Moorland Road. Registration and networking begins at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon and the presentation at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for students, $25 for WIN members and Governor’s Business Plan Contest participants, $35 for non-members and included with WIN corporate memberships.

In addition to providing an overview of the different types of private equity, and how trends can ebb and flow, the panelists will discuss what entrepreneur sectors are most interesting to investors in 2010 and how the entrepreneurial ecosystem has changed in recent years. These investors will also share personal insight on pending tax credit enhancements such as Senate Bill 409, which will expand existing angel investment and early stage seed investment tax credits.

The panelists are: Dan Einhorn, principal, Capital Midwest Fund; Teresa Esser, managing director of Silicon Pastures and principal of Capital Midwest Fund; Charlie Goff, president of NEW Capital Management; and Judy Owen, general partner with Calumet Venture Fund. Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council, will moderate.

“Investment markets globally, nationally and in Wisconsin are undergoing change,” said Joe Kremer, director of the Wisconsin Angel Network. “This is a chance to hear first-hand about what sort of early stage deals might appeal to investors and their organizations in 2010.”

The event is sponsored by Zale Sport Inc.
