U.S. News & World Report today released its annual university rankings.

UW-Madison.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison ranked 15th among public universities nationally, and 49th in the overall national university rankings. Last year, UW-Madison ranked 12th among public universities.

UW-Madison retained its spot as the No. 1 national university in Wisconsin, according to the U.S. News rankings.

Marquette University ranked second in the state and 89th in the national university rankings.

Princeton was the top-ranked national university, followed by Harvard and Columbia University in New York. The University of California-Los Angeles was the top-ranked public national university, followed by UC-Berkeley. Read the full story here.
