Bublr Bikes has come out in favor of Bird.

Just days after Bird voluntarily removed its scooters from the streets and agreed to collaborate with the city, Bublr board president Bruce Keyes announced his support for the scooter sharing company.

In a conversation with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Keyes emphasized the similarities between the two companies, noting that both are providing transportation alternatives.

“Bublr is all about getting people onto bikes and out of cars. We like the exercise that goes along with riding bikes, the community interaction and the ease and mobility of bikes,” Keyes said.

“While I would rather see people on bikes, I do think electric scooters accomplish the same goals we’re trying to accomplish — they’re easy to get around with, and they go that first or last mile.” Read the full story here.
