SPARC is a business training course for companies in the central city with revenues under $1 million.Last year’s inaugural cohort graduated 19 companies. Those companies had $3.2 million in revenue in 2017, and had an average projected growth of 57 percent this year.

This year’s cohort of 24 companies averages $298,000 in annual revenue, and employs 163 people in total.

Scale Up Milwaukee is an effort from the Greater Milwaukee Committee, and is largely funded by JPMorgan Chase.

A launch party for this year’s group will be held today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Tandem in Milwaukee, one of this year’s participating companies. It’s open to the public.
