NEWaukee will offer a variety of engaging events during Startup MKE week this year including a “speaker crawl,” a political open mic and “The Shift,” a female-focused speaker series.

Business owners from companies such as Red Light Ramen, Fiveable and Kohler will host speaker sessions in No Studios from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12.  Speaker Crawl attendees can craft their own speaker programs with the flexibility of staying in one space, or moving to the next.

Bridge the City is hosting a political open mic on privacy, policy and public investment in technology at Central Standard from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov.13 . The political open mic gives entrepreneurs, elected officials, residents and the business community a platform to share solutions to the challenges they face around policy and technology, according to a press release.

The Shift is a female-focused speaker series centered on defining and empowering women’s career trajectories. In response to the Milwaukee Women Inc. Advancing Women Leadership report, the speaker series, held at Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel, will explore topics around achieving gender parity in the workplace, according to a press release.
