The 2017 Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium was held Nov. 15-16 at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center in Madison. The 3rd annual WOMEN reception was held Nov. 14 at the Madison Club with over 100 attendees. Over 600 people attended the annual conference from across the state and both coasts! The #ESSWI conference featured some amazing talks: “Un-keynote” speaker Tamara Kleinberg of Launchstreet; SBIR/STTR Luncheon special guests Chris Meyer of Sector67 with John Neis, and Dan Rashke of TASC to kick off the Elevator Pitch Olympics.  Ten panels highlighted the crucial connection between entrepreneurs and investors with a who’s who lineup of panelists spanning both days. Seven out-of-state panelists from Bessemer Ventures, Ekistic Ventures, Hyde Park Angels, Meridian Street Capital, M25 Group, Lewis & Clark Ventures and Hyde Park Ventures opened day 2 with a strong plenary discussion on the attraction of Wisconsin for investors. Nearly 450 speed-dates between investors and entrepreneurs were accomplished at our 2nd annual Investor Intros. Congratulations to Allen Dines receiving the 4th annual Triple E Award. Congratulations also to emerging companies GymDandy and Pyxsee on winning awards at the Elevator Pitch Olympics!  We can’t wait to see you for #ESSWI next year: Mark your calendars for Nov. 7-8, 2018.
