The 5th annual 2018 Wisconsin Tech Summit was held March 19 at the GE Healthcare Institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Eighty-four emerging companies applied to meet with 18 major firms: Accuray, American Family Insurance, AT&T, Aurora Health Care, BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Dedicated Computing, DXC Technology, Exact Sciences, Foxconn, GE Healthcare, Johnson Controls, Marshfield Clinic Health System, Northwestern Mutual, Promega, Rockwell Automation, TASC, WEA Trust and WIPFLi. Over 230 speed-dates took place before the day was done, with valuable exchange of ideas, innovation and potential for partnerships, referrals and investing.
We heard from two exceptional keynote speakers: Erik Iverson, Managing Director of Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and Phyllis King, Vice Provost of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Six complementary Office Hours sessions gave attendees a range of valuable ideas to incorporate into their businesses. These industry experts were from Accelity Marketing, Center for Technology Commercialization, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Husch Blackwell Strategies, Talentfoot, Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. and Wisconsin Technology Council. Many important conversations and connections were made, and we look forward to hearing about the successes.
