In the months following the launch party, Catalyze raised $2 million in funding. The health information technology company also persuaded Ben Uphoff to leave Los Alamos National Lab and become its chief technology officer. Now Catalyst has raised another $4 million and Uphoff is immersed in the startup company’s efforts to make it easier for software-makers to comply with federal privacy rules for the health care industry.
