Connecture Inc., a Brookfield software company, announced this week that Francisco Partners, a private equity firm, and other investors would receive a roughly 34% stake in the company in exchange for a $52 million investment.

The investment — in the form of preferred stock that can be converted into common stock at $4.50 a share — comes less than two years after Connecture netted $45.2 million in an initial public stock offering at $8 a share. Read the full Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story here.
