ManpowerGroup, a Milwaukee-based global workforce solutions company, announced a plan Monday to help thousands of United States workers learn in-demand job skills.

The announcement comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday creating the National Council for the American Worker, which will focus on worker training and education.

After signing the executive order, Trump also announced pledges from Walmart, Microsoft, General Motors and other companies to better align workers’ skills with industry demands and create at total of 3.7 million jobs.

Manpower joined those companies in supporting Trump’s workforce development initiatives with its pledge to help more than 130,000 American workers learn new in-demand job skills, or “upskill,” in the next five years. Read the full story here.
