The federal government’s new rules for operating commercial drones will set the stage for users of the technology to expand their businesses and for the unmanned aircraft to play bigger roles in more industries, Wisconsin drone experts say.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration released its long-awaited comprehensive list of rules for the burgeoning use of commercial drones.

One big change — that commercial drone operation no longer will be restricted only to licensed airplane pilots — is expected to lead the way to growth, they said. Read the full JSOnline story here.
