Twenty-three Wisconsin companies pulled in $87.8 million of venture capital in 2015, a fraction of the $58.8 billion that went into high-potential companies across the country, according to a national report.

While Wisconsin’s numbers were an improvement over the previous year — 26 companies raised $71.8 billion in 2014 — the state’s share of the national venture capital pie remains low.
