Wisconsin employers, business leaders and others with an interest in workforce development are invited to a free workshop at Madison College, 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1.

The “workforce alignment” workshop will focus on matching workforce needs – including employer hiring and internship demand – with programs at participating institutions of higher learning.

Speaking at the workshop will be Madison College President Jack Daniels, University of Wisconsin System President Ray Cross, and Rolf Wegenke, president of the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

Administrators from the state Department of Workforce Development will also be on hand to discuss regional workforce data trends; state programs to engage and develop talent; internship programs and more. Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch will also speak on statewide talent development efforts.

The workshop will be held at the Madison College Cafeteria Annex, Room D1630, 1701 Wright Street, Madison.
