Sonic Foundry says keeping costs lean helped the company narrow its losses in the quarter that ended June 30 even though revenue declined.

The Madison company’s Mediasite hardware and software are used to stream presentations over the Internet and archive them.

Sonic Foundry reported a net loss of $552,000, or 13 cents a share, on $9.8 million in revenue for its third fiscal quarter compared with a net loss of $921,000, or 21 cents a share, on $10.6 million in revenue for the same quarter, last year. Read the full story here.
