StartingBlock has selected eight social impact entrepreneur teams for its Social Impact Initiative, the organization announced today.
“StartingBlock’s Social Impact Initiative builds upon the great work done by many others, including the UW, the City (of Madison) and our community generally,” StartingBlock Executive Director Chandra Miller Fienen said in a statement.
According to a release, each team has business models that address significant social and environmental challenges and show how social entrepreneurship can have a long-term impact in Wisconsin and beyond.
The teams are:
- Collaborative Science Environment (CoSE)
- Fair Opportunity Project
- Just Bakery
- NovoMoto
- Farm to Facts
- Sidekick Education
- Sustain Dane
- Wifi Madison
As previously reported, teams will receive free space at StartingBlock for six months, customized programming and support by StartingBlock and its partners.
