GreenBay Technologies, a Madison-based startup founded by a University of Wisconsin-Madison professor and two Ph.D. students, has landed investment from one of the biggest tech companies in the U.S.

Informatica, a northern California data company generating more than $1 billion in annual revenue, is making an equity investment in GreenBay Technologies, which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning for data management.

The investment amount is not being disclosed.
