GreenBay Technologies, a Madison-based startup founded by a University of Wisconsin-Madison professor and two Ph.D. students, has landed investment from one of the biggest tech companies in the U.S.
Informatica, a northern California data company generating more than $1 billion in annual revenue, is making an equity investment in GreenBay Technologies, which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning for data management.
The investment amount is not being disclosed.
“GreenBay Technologies is a clear choice for investment and the right partner to advance our AI and machine learning capabilities,” said Amit Walia, president of products and marketing for Informatica, in an announcement about the investment deal. “Their machine learning-based data management innovations are practical, effective, and more advanced than anything we’ve seen.” Read the full story here.
