Dynamis Software Corp., a West Allis tech company that makes software for employee benefits agents in the U.S., has been acquired by Applied Systems Inc., a global company based in Illinois that provides automated and cloud-based insurance software.

Milwaukee tech entrepreneur Andy Nunemaker launched Dynamis in 2012 and is the current CEO. The company employs 21 people.

Prior to starting Dynamis, Nunemaker was an executive at GE Healthcare and past CEO of EMSystems, a Milwaukee provider of emergency medical services software that was sold in 2010.

“As the insurance industry enters the digital age, we recognize an opportunity with Applied for our customers to benefit from greater technical resources and support services,” Nunemaker said in a news release. “This acquisition provides our customers with access to new innovation to further automate the plan design process, enabling agencies to more effectively advise customers of their benefit plan options and increase their competitive value.” Read the full story here.
