More than 100 technology industry leaders are in the Madison area this week for the 2019 TECNA Summer Conference, exposing the state’s tech industry to people who represent an estimated 22,000 tech-related companies in North America.

Technology Councils of North America, or TECNA, represents about 50 North American tech associations and councils. For the first time in the near 20-year history of its summer conference, the event is being held in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Tech Council, which is based in Madison, is hosting the three-day event at the massive corporate campus of multibillion-dollar health technology giant Epic Systems Corp. The conference started Tuesday and concludes Thursday.
