Through two of his companies, Milwaukee entrepreneur Reginald Reed has an opportunity to match hundreds, if not thousands, of unemployed people to jobs, while helping employers diversify the makeup of its workforce as the region slowly recovers from economic fallout caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reed, a 2019 Milwaukee Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, has developed a metric-based employment software that he will soon sell to employers. Real Time Resume, his cloud-based tool that produces metrics on a person’s job skill level, is expected to launch in early 2021, Reed said. Mindful Measures is the name of the software development company that will build the tool.

Reed has been working to scale Real Time Resume into a usable software, and most recently, developed Mindful Measures through gBeta Milwaukee, gener8tor’s free seven-week accelerator designed for early-stage companies from the Milwaukee area. He said he has already secured pledges and commitments from employers who want to use the software once it becomes available.

Bias, Reed said, is the biggest barrier the business community has in terms of employment. The idea behind Real Time Resume is to offer businesses a more comprehensive look at the skills a worker might possess, rather than depending on employment history. The data is designed to show a person’s value in the workplace. Read the full story here.
