Skills Pipeline, a Milwaukee-based company that matches tech professionals with employers, is launching in March a networking series specifically for software developers in the Milwaukee region, said Matt Cordio, founder and president of Skills Pipeline.

Code + Brews, the name of the series, is developer agnostic, meaning developers working on different platforms can still attend and participate.

The first series will take place March 9 at the headquarters of Wantable Inc., the Milwaukee e-commerce company that mails out monthly boxes of apparel, accessories and makeup that are tailored to each customer. Joe Murphy, a lead developer at Wantable, will facilitate the event, Cordio said.

The No. 1 rated job to have in the U.S. right now is software developer, according to U.S. News & World Report. The profession topped their list of Best Jobs for the second consecutive year. The ranking is based on median salary, stress level, 10-year growth volume, work-life balance, employment rate, opportunity for advancement and 10-year growth percentage. Read the full story here.
