Insight from top executives at Dell Technologies and Johnson Controls, a pitch competition and a music technology conversation with Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki will highlight the second annual Summerfest Tech this summer.

The two-day event, created to highlight Wisconsin’s tech industry, will be held June 25-26 in Milwaukee.

Programming on June 25 will feature a keynote presentation from Dennis Hoffman, senior vice president of corporate strategy at Round Rock, Texas-based Dell Technologies Inc., followed by Aoki, who will discuss advances in music technology. Aoki will also headline the Miller Lite Oasis at Summerfest on June 26.

During the second day of Summerfest Tech, Mary Bunzel, an executive at Santa Clara, California-based Intel Corp., will moderate a panel discussion on women in technology, while Milwaukee Business Journal editor-in-chief Mark Kass will moderate a panel on cybersecurity. The second day will also include a tech idea pitch competition and a presentation on Harley-Davidson’s new electric motorcycle, LiveWire.

The inaugural event in 2018 was attended by executives representing some of Summerfest’s biggest partners, such as American Family Insurance and Johnson Controls, along with academics, students, software engineers and entrepreneurs. It also included a panel discussion on issues facing the region’s tech ecosystem and product demonstrations from area startup companies. Read the full story here.
