Wisconsin Investment and Strategic Capital Partners, known as WISC Partners, is raising $4 million for a new investment fund, according to a recent regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

WISC Partners, started by Mike Splinter and David Guinther, two experienced business leaders in the technology and finance industry, invests in early-stage Wisconsin companies.

Splinter has been chairman of Nasdaq Inc.’s board since 2017 and is the former chairman and CEO of Applied Materials, a supplier of semiconductor equipment. Nasdaq owns and operates the Nasdaq stock market. Splinter was also an executive at Intel Corp. Read the full story here.
