Wisconsin startups outside those headquartered in Dane County may apply by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, to pitch in the mid-October “Rise of the Rest” event at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The “Rise of the Rest” national tour is the brainchild of Steve Case, co-founder of America Online. Case runs a billion-dollar venture fund called Revolution that has invested in startups across middle America.
Company pitches within “Rise of the Rest” are part of the Oct. 17 Launch Wisconsin event. Case and a panel of judges will award $100,000 to the winner of the pitch contest, which will include eight to 10 companies selected from a larger pool.
Companies based in Dane County are ineligible to apply because Madison was a prior “Rise of the Rest” city. More than two-dozen cities have been included in prior tours. Apply here: https://www.riseofrest.com/green-bay-wi/
