Tech Council board to meet at Green Bay’s Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY – The board of directors of the Wisconsin Technology Council, which addresses tech-based challenges and opportunities for the state’s economy, will meet Tuesday at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

The meeting will take place from 9:30 a.m. until about 2:30 p.m. in the Bart Starr and Legends rooms at Lambeau Field. Among those who will address the board are:

n      Gov. Jim Doyle, who will speak at 1:30 p.m.
n      Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Annette Ziegler, senior judge of the four branches of Washington County Circuit Court, who has announced her candidacy for the Wisconsin Supreme Court seat now held by Justice Jon Wilcox. Ziegler will speak about noon. She joins Madison attorney Linda Clifford as a candidate for the 2007 Supreme Court election.
n      Department of Financial Institutions Secretary Lorrie Keating Heinemann.

Other elected state officials from the region have been invited and may attend.

The Tech Council is a non-profit, non-partisan board that serves as the science and technology policy adviser to the Governor and the Legislature, and a leading catalyst for tech-based development. It manages the Wisconsin Angel Network, the Governor’s Business Plan Contest, the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference, the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, the Wisconsin Innovation Network and the newly created Wisconsin Security Research Consortium.
