Green Bay, Wisconsin – TitletownTech announced their latest investment in Springbok Analytics, a healthcare technology company that has developed an AI-powered software platform that transforms standard MRIs into dynamic three-dimensional analyses of muscle, giving users access to data that has never been seen before. Springbok Analytics’ patented technology provides clinical decision support tools for injury management and performance optimization. This first-to-market solution delivers precise, objective data for providers to personalize the care of patients in the athletics, military, and medical markets.

Founded by three University of Virginia professors, Drs. Silvia Blemker, Joe Hart, and Craig Meyer, with complimentary expertise in imaging, muscle modeling & visualization, and kinesiology & athletic training, the company’s technology was initially developed to assist surgeons in tendon-lengthening procedures for children with cerebral palsy.

Springbok commercialized its first application – a full lower body analysis – at the end of 2020 and continues to expand the platform’s capabilities for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. The full lower extremity assessment was what caught the attention of Dr. Robin West, President of Inova’s Musculoskeletal Service Line and Lead Team Physician for the Washington Nationals and Head Team Physician of the Washington Football Team.

Springbok has partnered with Dr. West and Inova to transform MRIs of professional athletes into the 3D digital twins, equipping team physicians, strength & conditioning coaches, sports scientists, and athletic trainers, with new tools to quantify muscle and injury to assist with the recovery process, critical return to play decisions, and overall performance assessment. Access to precise data allows the team to create personalized care and training plans for their players.
