The Wisconsin Health and Educational Facilities Authority recently closed the books on its 2013-14 fiscal year, completing 24 financings for $794 million. That brings to $20.6 billion the total dollar amount of 753 financing projects handled by WHEFA since its founding in 1979.

Of those 752 projects, 289 were refinancing deals and 464 were “new money” projects, largely construction.

“By providing knowledgeable and experienced assistance in obtaining low-cost capital financing for Wisconsin non-profit organizations, WHEFA is helping to building strong communities and improve the quality of life for Wisconsin citizens,” said Dennis Reilly, WHEFA’s executive director.
