It will be held during Forward Festival this August, when a group of specially selected applicants will pitch to out-of-state investors, business executives and festival attendees.

Judge scoring and audience votes will both be taken into account in deciding the winning company, which will get to take part in the chamber’s delegation to San Francisco in October. Company leaders will have the chance to meet with Silicon Valley investors.

In the three years Pressure Chamber has been running, participants have raised over $100 million in total investment.

Applicant companies must be chamber members, and must be located in Dane County or have plans to move by Aug. 21. They need to have raised at least $25,000 — not counting dollars founders have chipped in — and have to apply on July 11.

“With each year, the national awareness for this initiative and the number of investment partners has grown, yielding a positive return for both participating companies and Greater Madison,” said Chamber Vice President Kevin Little. “We’re excited to see what this year has to offer.”
