Marshfield Medical Center-River Region at Stevens Point opened its doors Friday marking a continuation of Marshfield Clinic Health System’s promise to expand care to Portage County residents.

“This is truly a great accomplishment to better serve our Portage County residents,” said Ryan Neville, chief administrative officer, Marshfield Medical Center-Weston and interim CAO, River Region-Stevens Point. “With the hospital expansion we are able to help residents get the care they need while keeping them closer to home.”

The 12-bed hospital is an expansion of the existing Marshfield Clinic Stevens Point Center at 4100 State Highway 66 in Stevens Point. The first floor of the two-story 55,000-square foot hospital features emergency services with eight treatment rooms, a trauma room, 12 hospital inpatient beds, a dining area, and lobby.
