The company, which offers MRIs for $600 or less, also announced it’s hired Roland Wikstrom as president and chief operating officer. Plans call for 19 clinics in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, helped by investments from the northeast Wisconsin health system ThedaCare and an Illinois health system.

Wikstrom, who’s been on the Smart Choice MRI board for two years, has also worked at Citigroup, the Central Bank of Norway and BMO Harris Bank.
