The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) was awarded a $1 million Workforce Data Quality Initiative (WDQI) Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Employment and Training Administration (ETA) this week.

The grant funds will be used to expand and enhance Wisconsin’s Workforce Data Integration System, which will streamline and refine DWD’s internal data systems. By improving the Workforce Data Integration System and creating better and more accurate data matching and integration, DWD will be able to more efficiently deliver services leading to successful outcomes for participants while enhancing the scope and quality of workforce research.

“DWD will be able to strengthen its long-term research efforts as a result of this WDQI Grant,” Secretary-Designee Caleb Frostman said. “These outcomes will allow DWD to better connect the dots across state agencies and deliver sound, comprehensive policy for the people of Wisconsin.”
