Newly elected State Senator Caleb Frostman (D-Sturgeon Bay) has been appointed to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Board of Directors by Senate Democratic Leader Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse). Frostman replaces Sen. Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) who voluntarily stepped down from the position to offer the freshman Senator an opportunity to continue working on economic development and job creation.

“Sen. Frostman’s experience running a successful economic development organization, his passion for strengthening communities and his vision for expanding economic opportunities make him a valuable asset to the WEDC Board,” said Shilling. “I appreciate Sen. Carpenter’s leadership to protect Wisconsin workers and taxpayers from costly Republican handouts and risky corporate giveaways. As someone with years of experience, I am confident that Sen. Frostman will continue to prioritize smart investments in local businesses, support Wisconsin-based entrepreneurs and expand economic opportunities for everyone in our state.” Read the full story here.
