MADISON – Jack Heinemann, director of the Wisconsin Security Research Consortium, will speak at the annual “Ideas2Profits” conference to be held April 19-20 at the Tundra Lodge in Green Bay. Heinemann will serve on a panel that will explore the ins and outs of working with national laboratories.

Heinemann’s work at WSRC involves connecting with federal science and technology managers across a range of agencies, including national labs operated by agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of Energy and the Department of Agriculture.

“At a time when national laboratories have developed a wealth of innovative ideas and intellectual property, it makes sense for companies and entrepreneurs to learn more about how to gain access to that information,” said Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council. The WSRC is affiliated with the Tech Council.

A specific time for the panel discussion will be determined soon. For more on the Ideas2Profit conference, which is produced by the UW-Whitewater Small Business Development Center, go to http://www.ideas2profits.org/  To learn more about WSRC, visit http://www.wisecurity.org/
