Tech trends for startups and learning more about emerging industry sectors in Wisconsin will be part of the “Launch” panel discussion track at the June 6 Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference.

The conference at the Italian Community Center returns to the “Cream City” to celebrate the region’s rise as a startup and scale-up hub within the Midwest.

Registration is open at witrepsconference.com or linked here.

The “LAUNCH” track is one of three conference tracks open to all attendees at the 22nd annual conference. Panel discussions in the “Launch” track are:

10 a.m. June 6 – Wisconsin technologies to watch: Learn more about the state’s hot industries
As the recent Microsoft data center announcement confirmed, our Midwest state isn’t a “one-trick badger” when it comes to industries that employ technology. From water to fusion, and from biotech to manufacturing tech, learn about four sectors that are among those that set Wisconsin apart from others.

Moderated by Joe Poeschl, MKE Tech Hub Coalition. Panelists: Britt Gottschalk, Geno.me; Nitin Ranjan, Golgix; Oliver Schmitz, Realta Fusion; and Dylan Waldhuetter, Rapid Radicals Technology

11 a.m. June 6 – Happening today and tomorrow: Tech trends worth following
You may be tired of hearing the term “AI” tossed about and you may not really know what quantum computing is … but either way, you’ll want to attend this discussion. Learn how generative AI will disrupt the business world in the coming year and what quantum can do to change computing and cybersecurity over time.

Moderated by Joe Hamann, UW-Milwaukee Connected Systems Institute. Panelists: Balamurugan Balakreshnan, Microsoft; and Kate Timmerman, Chicago Quantum Exchange

Four other panels in the “Grow” and “Succeed” tracks will be announced soon. Attendees may attend all or parts of any track.

Mapping the entrepreneurial mind is the theme of the conference, where entrepreneurs from around the state will showcase their ideas, services and technologies. Six panel tracks formed under three unique stages of “launch,” “grow” and “succeed” will appeal to entrepreneurs in all stages. Detailed panel information will be posted soon at witrepsconference.com.
